Marquis Hotel in Rhodes, Greek Islands

The owner of this hotel approached us with a problem. He was building a new 5-Star hotel in Rhodes with 400 rooms and extensive gardens around. The island has a shortage of water and he anticipated that his annual water for irrigation alone was 7 million liters, costing  €28,000 per annum.
Cequesta teamed up with Shamnir Irrigation of Israel and provided a system where the grey water of the hotel was recycled and irrigation water needs minimized.

Payback on the system is less than 3 years.

We are installing three modular 4m3/h Ella systems. A total of 240m3 per day is    treated, 20% of which comes from the swimming pools. The recycled water goes to irrigate 5 hectares (12 acres) of gardens. The treated water is directly fed to the irrigation without any intermediate storage. We use a proprietary online flow management system coupled with a unique irrigation piping design. As a result the customer saves substantially on storage and pumping.
